Caring for your jewelry
Bumblebee jewelry is delicate and should be handled and stored carefully
Wearing
- protect your jewelry from water, chemicals, perfume, sunshine, and rough handling
- put your jewelry on last when you're getting ready, after you've done your hair, and
applied hairspray, makeup, and perfume etc...
- don't wear your jewelry swimming! You might lose it, and some pieces are made
with silk string, which shouldn't get wet
- if your jewelry is made with tigertail (a nylon coated steel wire) don't scrunch it up!
Tigertail has memory, so if it bends, it stays that way. To store, lay it flat, or hang
naturally and it'll keep its shape forever
Cleaning and Storing
- pieces made with silver, semi-precious stones, and Swarovski crystals require
polishing every now and then. Tarnishing happens naturally with silver, it's nothing
to worry about!
- To clean, run a soft cloth over the stones to remove any body oils, and gently rub a dry cloth over the silver clasps, extenders, and chain to restore the light silver shine
- store your jewelry laid flat or hung up to deter kinks and knots
- liquid jewelry cleaner is not recommended for bumblebee jewelry
- it's best to store your jewelry in an air-tight container, which slows tarnishing
- it's also wise to store jewelry separately if you can, so it won't scratch, damage or get tangled with other pieces
Follow these steps and you will enjoy your jewelry for years to come.
If you should need any repairs or maintenance on your jewelry, bumblebee will gladly do the
work free of charge for the first 6 months after your purchase
